Looking directly into my doubting eyes, Michael Bisping digested the fact that yet another journalist had tipped him to lose his next fight...and then warned Setanta.com “I’ll prove you wrong at UFC 100”.

Bisping arrives in Las Vegas on July 11 looking to dispel two myths, first by beating Dan Henderson and then by showing he has knock-out power registering the first KO of the American’s illustrious career.

Britain’s number one Mixed Martial Artist enters the middleweight showdown as underdog, tipped to suffer only his second career loss by large sections of the media including Setanta.com, but Bisping insists he just loves serving up humble pie to his doubters.

“It doesn’t bother me at all when ‘certain journalists’ right me off, people always say I’m going to lose my fights – people always call me the underdog,” Bisping quipped.

“Maybe one day people will actually predict me to win.

“I actually like the role of underdog, it’s nice proving people wrong, and I WILL be proving ‘certain journalists’ wrong at UFC 100.”

Bisping’s gameplan in Vegas is expected to be a tactical one based on footwork and fast hands, the end goal being a points victory.

However, “The Count” has spotted a weakness in Henderson’s game by watching DVDs of the Rich Franklin fight, and he insists he will look for the knock-out come July 11.

“To be honest, maybe I’m underestimating him but I don’t think I’ve got a lot to worry about.

“He’s got a big right hand and great clinch work, but outside of that I’ve got him beat.

“Having watched the Henderson/Franklin fight again, I have to say I wasn’t impressed at all. His striking looked sloppy, he fell on his arse a couple of times from kicks, landed a couple of big right hands but that was it really.

“Watching it back, I’m a bit shocked he got the decision.

“He’s never been knocked out in his career, it’d be nice to be the first, I’m definitely looking to finish the fight.

“I’ve been improving my explosive strength, you’ll definitely see the best Michael Bisping at UFC 100 and I’m going there to knock him out.”
