Kind of remarkable when you break it all down.
Begins his journey by flying in from Seattle to stay with us in Coconut Creek, FL. for his "March Badness" fight against Roy Nelson in Pensacola, FL.
Flies to Pensacola a day before his fight on March 21st and wins a close decision. Flies back to Coconut Creek and rests for a few days. He's back on a plane to Ireland for his March 29th fight against Sergei Maslobojev whom he submits in round two for the win. Flys back to Miami to work on his visa before he heads back to Seattle. From Seattle he flies out to Japan the day before his fight on April 5th where he submits Sergei Kharitonov with a north south choke in 1:42 on the first round.
Unreal schedule. Now factor in that he hardly trained at all after the Roy Nelson fight because it looked like he broke his foot. He came back limping around the gym where you could see how badly swollen it was. Funny thing is, I thought it was just his back that gave out again and thats why he was walking weird.
We advised him to skip his Ireland fight, but he went ahead with his commitment anyway. Jeff easily could have pulled out and rested for his DREAMS match if he wanted too, but that would be no fun for Jeff!
Say what you want about the guy but he is hands down one of the best competitors I have ever seen. Big Congrats Jeff!
I can only imagine you will find some grappling absolute tournament to jump into during your layover somewhere!

I highly respect him, Being a grappler myself and seeing how he's always winning these high level competitions and doing so well in mma, makes me a bit proud. Boring or not, i have to support em.
