It's going to be a lot better than ufc 97 that's for damn sure.
I want to see if the little engine that could "Matt Serra", Can beat the legendary Matt Hughes.
Sean Sherk Vs. Frank Edgar will also be noteworthy.
I also look forward to my main man Machida.

For Sure it has to be better than this last ufc 97. Matt Serra has those heavy hands that are going to be dangerous in the Matt Hughes fight.

We will see if he can land those shots though, It will be no easy task defending the take downs from Hughes. Matt Serra is no GSP or Alves.

I think it will be good. I hope that Machida doesn't win based on points and finishes it like he did Thiago. I'm also hoping that Serra will pull out a win, but it could go either way since neither has fought in a while.

Right now at this moment i have Machida winning with points cause Rashad has the jackson's camp with Great fighters like Nate Mardquart and George St. Pierre and the list goes on. But speaking to you honestly they dont have that kind of style that Machida has inherated from his dad. The type of Karate is still unkown in the USA so no one has adapted it like Machida. So of course Rashad Evans is going to be confused the whole fight just trying to come up with something.

I think it is a stacked card, not sure how Machida vs Evans will play out. all in all it should be a good one.

I saw a recent photo of Hughes and dear lord, He's huge.... I don't ever remember seeing him look so damn big before. My heart says Serra but my brain is telling me Hughes will beat him.

Alot of changes to this card.
mir vs lesnar-moved to ufc 100 james irvin-injured yushin okami-injured
they have come up with some decent replacements and the card is still decent IMO.

After Yushin Okami (23-4 MMA, 7-1 UFC) was pulled from the card with a torn ligament, recent UFC 97 winner Ed Herman (15-7 MMA, 4-4 UFC) was approached about filling in and fighting Dan Miller (11-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) at UFC 98.
But instead, Chael Sonnen (21-10-1 MMA, 1-3 UFC), who's scheduled to fight Wilson Gouveia at UFC 102 in August, will take on Miller.

Unfortunately, Edgar is too inexperienced to upset Sherk.
Hughes over Serra. Not a fan of either fighter or the way they match up against each other, but we'll see.
No clue about the LHW title fight, but I'm pulling for Machida. Probably by decision.

One flukey ass KO in your entire fighting career does not equate to possesing heavy hands.

fluke? serra was coming off of a 3 win streak during the ultimate fighter, not to ride too hard on TUF but it's a pretty intense training camp they really don't show that on the show.. also right after coming off of the show he hit up ray longo to train his boxing and ray longo is a pretty damn good coach. Matt serra was in the ufc before gsp even started training for it, matt serra has pleeenty of experience. GSP had that tko loss coming. not trying to rip you bro, i just ride matt serra real hard. if hughes doesn't win a decision it's because matt serra got him in the rnc. just look at serra's abu dhabi footage, he's high level.

sherk vs edgar is going to be really good.. i'm going for frankie edgar do finally get the W he deserves after losses to gray maynard and tyson griffin. he's a hell of a wrestler and uses it to make for an exciting fight. i think he's going to outstrike sean sherk and avoid the dreaded lay n pray, but he's going to have to eat some shots getting out. split dec for frankie edgar.
